Happy Holidays

As the winter holidays are quickly approaching, Fiji is preparing for their summer months.  

Fijian Christmas Tree

Nothing can  be further from a "White Christmas" than in Fiji.  The Sekoula tree is often called the "Fiji Christmas Tree" because of its bright red flowers that bloom during the summer months.  It's a spectacular sight to see these beautiful trees in full bloom all over town and along the country side roads.  

We have readied Long Windid for our two month absence.  She is secure and buttoned down.  We are hoping all will be well here until our return in January.  Both Dan and I are very much looking forward to our visits with both family and friends.
